This Sunday is the 4th of July! How are you going to be spending this patriotic American holiday?? Well I have a few suggestions and traditions to relay as a few pointers for the best ways to spend this weekend. First is the traditional family and friends gathering with a smoking BBQ and drinks. This is the classic course for the 4th and is quite popular. A tasty BBQ is loads of delicious fun but if you want to go out on the town and do something a little different there’s plenty of grand fireworks and boat parades to attend. Head down to the beach and you can count on their being fireworks at night and a dazzling lighted boat parade! If you love the fireworks idea and you want to add some theme park fun, head over to Disneyland to witness their spectacular fireworks display. Now it’s not good to forget the reason for such a holiday to exist, to remind yourself, dress in Red, White, and Blue! Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend and be sure to stay safe!
Sincerely,
Sara
P.S. Don’t drink and drive!
On the weekends live bands and musicians are booked to play for your entertainment! At the District in Tustin there are a cluster of restaurants and stores plus an AMC movie theater and Bowling alley! TODAY there will be a live performance by the Laguna Beach based musician Nico Adams at 7:45pm. TOMORROW a performance by HEADSHINE at 6pm!! The District is the place to eat, shop, mingle and listen to LIVE music on the weekends! Who knows, maybe you will see me there! 🙂

Sara
Today is the first day of Summer Session (I) here at AOI College!
Hopefully you all had a wonderful time on your break but now it’s time to focus on school and reuniting with classmates and teachers. There are a few new teachers in our staff this quarter to accommodate the growing number of students. It is so exciting to see all the students showing up for class on the first day. This quarter their are two classes for Intermediate and Advanced, make sure to find your name on the posted list to find which classroom you are in. Good Luck!

Sara
Last week’s field trip to the famed Angel’s Stadium in Anaheim was reported to be a success! I updated the ‘Field Trip Pictures!’ Tab so check it out to see pictures of students and teachers who attended.

Everyone had such a great time at the game. The Angels didn’t have their best play but for Seattle’s fans it was a great win! The funnest part was hanging out with classmates and teachers outside of school. Sign up with your friends for the next Field trip which I will let you know when and where later. The tickets are discounted when you buy through the school so next time join us!
Field trip every month!!
Sincerely,
Sara
Next Friday the 28th, AOI students and teachers are going to an exciting game of baseball at the Anaheim Angels Stadium. It is Angels vs. Mariners and baseball fans are excited by the two opposing Japanese players going head to head. The Japanese are big baseball fans as well and two remarkable Japanese players are playing in the US baseball league, Matsui and Ichiro. 24 students and teachers combined have opted for this rivalry game. Baseball games in America are known for the peanuts, chili dogs, and beer. There is nothing more fun than a game with a friendly rivalry and yummy snacks. I was thinking of going to the game as well but tickets sold out real fast! There’s a field trip every month so ask about it early to sign up on time~

Sara
