🍃~WELCOME~🍃
For those who don’t know, we have three sessions per term: Session A, Session B, and Session C. Each session lasts for four weeks. Our terms are: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. You may begin our school during ANY term and session!! So please feel free to stop by anytime! If you have any questions about registration, please give us a call at 949-856-1700 or email us at info@aoicollege.edu.
The first week of a new session can be a bit hectic with finding your new classroom, students leveling up/wanting to level up, and with new students entering our school. Luckily, we have our great office staff to help everyone out!
At the end of each session, we have a student activity that is coordinated by the office! During the month of November, we learned and celebrated Thanksgiving. There were also some presentations given by our students and wonderful teachers. Giving presentations can be a bit scary but we got to learn so many new information thanks to our presenters.
Welcome to our new location!

AOI College of Languages has signed a transfer agreement with Azusa Pacific University. AOI students who have successfully completed Level 6 will be able to apply to the undergraduate program at Azusa Pacific University (APU) without the TOEFL requirement.
Students will receive priority review of your academic records and early admission notification. APU counselors further assist students in the admission process by providing specific guidance about major preparation and general education coursework including transferable credits for transfer students.
Overseas students who apply to AOI in conjunction with APU admissions will receive a letter of support from the university and can be submitted as part of visa supporting documents.
AOI took a break from regular classes from June 8 – June 21. During the break, the AOI Torrance campus offered a two-week vacation class. Students in the class learned about prepositions, practiced their pronunciation, and improved their listening skills with fun activities like listening to music and answering questions about the lyrics.
They also went on four field trips. On the first field trip, the students went to Hollywood Boulevard to see the walk of fame and the celebrity hand and footprints at the Chinese Mann’s Theater.
Next, they went to Santa Monica and walked along the beach and the pier. Even though it was a bit cloudy, the students still enjoyed dipping their toes in the water.
Field trip to Santa Monica Beach
They got a taste of the California life, and of course, those interested in shopping made sure to take advantage of all the great shops in the area.
Living the Good Life!
Check out the next entry for pictures from the other two field trips the vacation class students enjoyed: Venice Beach and Palos Verdes.
The AOI Torrance and Irvine campuses will both be closed Monday, May 30, 2011 for Memorial Day. The students, teachers and staff will be enjoying a 3-day weekend, so if you need anything, please call or stop by on Tuesday.
After the short Memorial Day break, it will be back to the grindstone, though, because the week of May 31 begins finals week. This means our spring quarter is quickly coming to a close. Wow, that flew by quickly. Well, you know what they say….time flies when you’re having fun.
Have a wonderful long weekend everyone!
